Dr Lynn Burmeister is the owner and medical director at No.1 Fertility. Lynn graduated from Melbourne University with honours and went on to complete her internship at the Austin Hospital. During this time she achieved her RANZCOG qualifications, which included two years of surgical training. She then continued her training at Monash Medical Centre in obstetrics and gynaecology. Lynn has worked in obstetrics, gynecology and fertility for more than 20 years and has the highest degree for a fertility specialist (CREI), which is an additional three year degree. She also spent two years completing this degree at the world-renowned Cornell University, studying and working with world fertility leader Professor Zev Rosenwaks.
No.1 Fertility opened its doors at the beginning of 2018 and continues to evolve and expand. Our dedicated team of clinicians and nurses aim to equip each patient with insight, intelligence and an endless supply of compassion. There are No.1 Fertility clinics at Epworth Freemasons, East Melbourne and in Collins Street, Melbourne. Lynn and her team are truly invested in their patient’s stories and have ensured our clinics are widely accessible and affordable.
After identifying a demand in women’s health services, Lynn launched the No.1 Women’s Health Clinic in 2020, which is located in East Melbourne. This is a private practice dedicated to providing a wide range of services all under the one location.This includes: general health, gynaecological issues, acupuncture, pregnancy and maternity care and weight loss. This also includes fertility preservation which falls under The Egg Freeze Centre.
Dr Grant Saffer
Fertility Specialist, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MB BCh, FRANZCOG)
Dr Grant Saffer is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Epworth-Freemasons Consulting Suites on Victoria Parade in East Melbourne. He also works as a fertility specialist in the clinical team here at No.1 Fertility. He has a broad and in-depth interest in all areas of women’s health, with over 25 years of medical expertise. Initially training in South Africa, Grant then completed another 15 years of specialist experience in the United Kingdom and Australia. He is also a longstanding Senior Consultant at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Parkville – a world-renowned hospital and leader in maternity services.
Grant is dedicated to developing excellent rapport and communication with his patients. Grant’s philosophy towards his field of medicine can best be described as a gentle and holistic approach to patient care, where natural processes and the views of women and their partners are genuinely respected and encouraged.
As an experienced Gynaecologist, Grant also practices in all areas of Gynaecology, managing a wide range of gynaecological issues affecting women of all ages.
Dr Vicki Nott
Fertility Specialist, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MBBS FRANZCOG)
Dr Vicki Nott is an award winning obstetrician and gynaecologist, with a deep interest and strong focus on all aspects of pregnancy and birth. Vicki specialises in making sure her patients have a pregnancy and birth experience that is unique to them. Vicki now works on the clinical team as a fertility specialist at No.1 Fertility, and available for appointments from pre-pregnancy to birth.
Throughout her career, Vicki has delivered over 10,000 babies, and her patients delight in her warm and nurturing nature. After years of study, Dr Vicki is currently finishing a Master's Degree in Reproductive Medicine, while continuing to see all patients and deliver babies day and night. Vicki is an adored and valued member of the No.1 Fertility team.
Dr Jonathan Nettle
Fertility Specialist, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MBBS FRANZCOG)
Dr Jonathan Nettle is an obstetrician, gynaecologist and fertility specialist in private practice at Frances Perry House and at the Epworth Hospital. He also works as a consultant at the Royal Women’s Hospital. Jonathan provides professional care that is open, honest, supportive and understanding. Jonathan’s style of practice is one that makes each patient feel safe, in control and empowered to make informed decisions.
Jonathan graduated from Medicine and Surgery at Monash University with Honours. He commenced medical practice at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. At this time he completed a post graduate diploma in surgical anatomy at the University of Melbourne. Jonathan subsequently moved to complete specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Parkville. His training was characterised by management of complex obstetric patients and extensive experience in the birth suite. Jonathan’s advanced fellowship training centred around a combination of high risk obstetrics, ultrasound, gynaecology and advanced laparoscopy for conditions such as endometriosis.
Having received his fellowship, Jonathan then completed a Masters in Reproductive Medicine with the University of New South Wales. He also undertook further training in infertility and works as a specialist with Dr Lynn Burmeister at No.1 Fertility.
Assoc Prof Megan DiQuinzio
MBBS, MD, FRANZCOG
Associate Professor Megan DiQuinzio has been practicing in her loved profession of Women’s Health since 1998. Megan is an Honors Medical Graduate of the University of Melbourne and Head of an Obstetric Unit at Mercy Hospital For Women. She is an Associate Professor (clinical) of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne. Megan’s passion is looking after women right through their journey to motherhood. Assoc Professor Megan Di Quinzio has been working alongside Dr Lynn Burmeister in infertility treatment for over 10 years.
Assoc Prof Megan DiQuinzio has joined No.1 Fertility and offers a comprehensive approach with Fertility Treatment and then pregnancy management and delivery.
Dr Elissa Heineke

Cosmetic Physician, No. 1 Skin
Dr Elissa Heineke is a General Practitioner with a special interest in women’s health, and where she has spent her last eight years of practice.
Dr Elissa has a number of years’ experience working in skin cancer medicine as part of General Practice, holding an Advanced Certificate of Dermoscopy.
Through her work with skin checks and skin cancer, which included performing minor surgical procedures, Dr Elissa started to develop an interest in the aging process of the skin. She has also worked with Dr Lynn Burmeister for over three years now, assisting with fertility assessments, egg freezing and post operative reviews. As a No. 1 Fertility patient, you may see or speak to Dr Elissa regarding abnormalities of results or she may be assisting Dr Lynn with fertility procedures, and in theatre. Dr Elissa also works in our number 1 skin clinic.
Dr Marnee Blundell
No. 1 Women's Health Clinic
Dr Marnee Blundell graduated from James Cook University in 2008 and completed her General Practice training in Melbourne.
Since becoming a GP, Marnee has developed a special interest in Women’s Health, Sexual Health and Paediatrics. She holds a Diploma of Child Health and Certificates in Family Planning, Sexual Health and Skin Cancer Medicine.
Dr Marnee is passionate about working with women from preconception, through pregnancies and beyond.
She can help you with all aspects of women’s health including menstrual issues, fertility assessments, contraception, cervical screening, breast checks and skin checks.
Dr Hayden Waterham
Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MBBS (Hons), FRANZCOG, DDU)
Dr Hayden Waterham is an obstetrician and gynaecologist in private practice at St Vincent’s private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons. He is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Mercy Hospital for Women and a sonologist at Royal Women’s Hospital.
Hayden graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from The University of Sydney in 2006. He completed his resident medical training at Royal Melbourne hospital, Western Hospital and Wangaratta Base Hospital and began formal training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Mercy Hospital for Women. Advanced training was completed at Royal Women’s hospital with a focus on high-risk pregnancies, ultrasound and laparoscopic surgery. Hayden completed a diploma of diagnostic ultrasound (DDU) in 2017. Hayden’s long-term professional goal has been to provide women and their families with the highest quality, evidence-based safe and continuous care throughout life. He strongly believes in being open and honest. He takes patient privacy seriously and acknowledges and manages patients by seeing them in the context of their professional, extended social and family life.
Hayden is married to Dr. Michelle Waterham has four children. He is bossed around by his daughters and identical twin sons. Homelife gives him perspective, humility, builds his resilience and stamina, and is his greatest joy.
